August went out with a bang!!!

Well if you have been wondering where I have been, I apologize. Life is beyond hectic and I am trying to keep it all together. Well as you all know Faye hit us pretty hard. There was massive flooding and unfortunately we were affected. The house we were living in was destroyed. Completely unlivable. Thank God we were only renting. So we had to move immediately to try to salvage our things. Some stuff had damage but we ended up okay. We are moved, and although there is some more to unpack, I am doing pretty well in that regard. This home is much much larger and Austin is loving all the room. It will also be a better environment to being home baby Tad. So I am thankful. God always provides. So now with that behind us we look forward to Hurricane Ike, who is turning into a very strong storm. So pray people. This year is not a good one for storms!

Austin is doing very very well. Potty training is nearly complete. We are 100% on pee-pee. We do not have accidents at all even during naps. He still prefers to go #2 in a pull up but we are working on it. By the time the baby comes I am confident he will be finished. We have also been working on his letters and pre reading. He is doing awesome!! This kid is so incredibly smart! We do some basic spelling and rhyming words. It is precious to watch him absorb something new and really grasp it. Adam and I are starting to entertain the possibility of homeschooling. If we are still living in our current state we will be forced to. If we move before hand then the school districts are far superior and I would feel a lot better. Homeschooling is a huge undertaking and not something I take lightly. We will see. Austins health is a slight concern. Between his GI issues we are working out and his allergies, my poor baby always has something going on. Thank goodness for Zyrtec. All in all my little man is cruising right along at a blinding pace. I love him so much it is amazing. I am so blessed by this sweet boy.

Baby Tad is growing right on track as well. I am 15 weeks and I am really feeling some strong movement that started last night. It is so incredible. I love this time and it really amazes me. I can’t imagine how much love I am going to have for this child. I am going to have TWO children. Amazing….simply amazing. We have another ultrasound on Sept. 25. Although we could find out the gender we are not!! It is hard but I got my way with Austin and we found out. So this time it will be a surprise. I am okay with that…really

To sum it all up, we are good. We had one heck of an August but we made it. I just hope September is more kind. Unlikely as this month has some emotional baggage for me, but I am working on it. At least I have Adams birthday at the end of this month!!! Yay!!!!

Tropical Storm Fay and some flashbacks

Well I am here this evening not knowing if I will have power for the whole night or even if I will be able to go into work tomorrow. Fay is knocking at our door (literally). All I can do is hope our home holds up and we don’t get too much damage. Also if the power chooses to not go out, so I don’t lose all my new groceries, I will be thrilled

SO send us a good thought or two please!!!

8 weeks

30ish weeks

Just born

I just can’t believe he was so tiny!!! Going home…

It is so amazing to me how time just speeds by. Austin will ALWAYS be my baby, but he is not a baby anymore. He is a potty trained, opinionated, spirited, cuddly, intelligent, beautiful person. He amazes me everyday. I will always know him as my baby though. I think all mothers feel that way!

I can’t wait to see him as a big brother. I really think he will love it and to watch that connection between him and a sibling will be priceless. Who ever is in there is so blessed to have him as their big bro

Also I will be posting belly shots very soon. I am in full blown maternity and definitely sporting a bump. How exciting! 5 pounds gained and I am really trying to do better now that my morning sickness is gone. YIPPEE!!! Also as of tomorrow I will no longer be on any hormones. I have been weaning off and tomorrow is the very LAST day. A milestone I am so grateful to see!

Well I am off to snuggle my baby-big boy! Have a good night!

Well today I am 12 weeks! I cannot believe it! I am officially in the 2 T. I suppose this pregnancy is really starting to sink in now. My belly is very obviously round and……………..

I even felt the baby move. I never in a million years thought I would feel the baby this early. But I did and it was amazing. I love this little one so very much!

I had an ultrasound on monday at 11 weeks 2 days and the baby had grown so much since the last u/s. Tad was moving, kicking, and rolling. We even got to see and count five little fingers on one of the hands! It was so incredible to watch. Of course I recorded it and will post the link.

This weekened we will start to buy some stuff for the baby. Might as well start now

Thank you all for your prayers for Tad. They have meant so very much to all of us. We are bringing home a baby this time and it is the best feeling. I am so glad I can share this with all of you!

In other news, we are moving. We have been moving our stuff all week and will be officially in on the 1st. It is hectic to say the least!! However we will have 2x the room. I am ready to be done!

Okay so for the past month I have been really good about not complaining. However I am now reaching my limit. I love this baby and I love this pregnancy and all that it entails, BUT, I need to stop getting sick ALL OF THE TIME. All day and almost constantly now, I am either dry heaving or gagging. Eating has become very difficult. If I lose anymore weight, there have even been talks of admitting me. I don’t think I am to that point but come on! The 2T is literally right around the corner and I am praying that with that crossover, and the fact I will be weaning off my hormones soon, that I will get some relief. Please. I want to be able to eat again!

So think good thoughts for me. On monday at my OB appt (I still can not believe I have made it) I will be asking for some meds.

Alright baby Tad. I love you more than anything and I will endure this the whole 9 months if I must. However mommy LOVES food too and I would really enjoy eating some!

a dream, a wish, a hope

Okay so if you do any amount of reading on this blog, you know how much I want to be a SAHM. It is quite possibly the thing I want most and is only second to the health of my family. So after years of working and leaving my son everyday, it is a very real possibility that staying home is in my near future! We have already began making sacrifices and adjustments (some very large and equally difficult) and I am getting very excited! I will work until this baby is born but then, if all goes according, I will be in stay at home bliss!! So keep me in your prayers that this actually becomes reality please! Cooking, cleaning and raising babies! Call me old fashioned but that is my dream!

In other news I am now 10 weeks! That is the official start of the “fetal” period! Yippee!! I have another u/s on monday and I post pictures after!

Well Austin is finally feeling better. It seems as though his antibiotics have done the trick. My baby boy is himself again and has the appetite to prove it

My FIL (thank you for your prayers btw) is out of surgery. He had to have his gallbladder removed today. He did great and should be released tomorrow! Praise God!!

So all in all everyone is either better or healing. I couldn’t ask for more.

As far as I go, I am feeling pretty good. Baby and I are growing and moving right along. Almost 10 weeks now!!! Can you believe it!? God is so good. So good!!!!

Thank you again for your prayers!!! They mean so much!
